IKEA - the experience.

So the plan was to find a beside table. A simple, 60x60 pine wood piece of furnishing. Instead, we came back quite literally with a boot full of assorted items which were deemed "cheap" and "fairly necessary" at the time, but will no doubt serve no purpose any time soon, or probably ever. Not to mention we didn't find what we were originally looking for. The funny thing is that I'm not the slightest bit angry. IKEA knows that the fastest way to my heart is through cheap food. $1 plasticky, luke-warm hotdogs to be exact.

Well played IKEA, well played.

two thousand and eight.

i'd almost forgot about this place. i'd probably would have if it weren't for a friend of mine making a new blog. so i guess i owe you (whoever? i don't exactly have a target audience, lol.) an update.

so at the end of 2008 i'd;
- passed my final exams (haven't really stopped rewarding myself for it :) )
- made some great friends
- got introduced to the whole new world of jdrama
- become a lot more independent
- fell in love with salmon sushi
- celebrated many birthdays with cheesecake
- learnt how to take a blood pressure
- failed at trying to quit runescape...once again
- spent my second summer with my non-airconditioned (but much loved) car
- almost become a familiar with the south
- finally saw someone i liked winning australian idol
- was one of the billions of asians watching the olympic ceremony
- had some more great karaoke nights
- got my certIII for aged care
- never got tired of big two
- got another handful of nicknames involving my last name
- got my first speeding and parking tickets
- got two more cousins
- had the awesomest hangout at ashawn's
- tried nasi lemak


not exactly the most interesting or impressive list, but there were a lot of memories in there.
