Last Saturday on the drive back from Mandurah, Aan broke down. For those of you who don't know, Aan is my beloved little red Toyota Seca. She's been serving me well these past two years, but I guess the mileage is starting to get to her now. Anyway, she couldn't have gone at a worse time, leaving us in quite a predicament. There we were, 3 girls stuck at a traffic light in woop-woop, at 11pm at night with no speck of mechanical knowledge between us. Oh yes, and naturally it was cold, windy and rainy.
Lo and behold, a mechanic truck pulls up behind us. What are the chances?
Sharon: "Uh..did you guys call a mechanic..?"
Deciding that it wasn't the time to be denying help from strangers, we had the nice guys push Aan to the side of the road and jumpstart her. All was well until Aan blew out again shortly after. We ended up calling RAC and having Essi's dad pick us up from the side of the freeway. Aan was towed away and has been in the workshop since. Apparently there's something wrong with the Welsh plug. -Blank face-
So as a result I've been cooped up at home for the past two days. It's only been two days, but already I feel so debilitated without a car. Getting lethargic today, it drove me (haha) to accompany my mum to the shops to buy washing powder.
Fifteen boxes of washing powder.
Yes, my parents love bulk buying. Anyway, I can't really complain because whilst pushing a trolley full of washing powder around, mum bought me a pair of boots, hehe.
Edit: Had my second GP visit, and it was great. I got to do a vaccination! And not all children are mean :)
